Sail the Keys!     David does this every day!  Have you ever tried?  He says that it’s very exhilarating!  He is a native of Birmingham and has played in churches since the early '70's.  He has been told by many that he has his own unique style and that his music is played from the heart.  He attributes this to God, stating “his hands are a vessel that He uses.”  He has been playing since age five, and will tell you at any time that his favorite scripture is Galatians 2:20 – simply stated, “He Lives.”  Though his hands are not insured by Lloyds of London, they are insured by “God of Heaven.”  What a big difference that makes. 

David was reared in a wonderful “God fearing home.”   David’s only sibling is his sister Karen.   David states that he and his sister were always at church “every time the doors opened” and quite often when they were not.  His mother was the church secretary and his father was a deacon.  His father later became a minister of music.

David is a graduate of Florida Baptist Theological College.  He majored in piano and minored in voice.  While in college he sang in the Male Chorale and occasionally accompanied the group and many soloists.  Though his music is a “blend” of many composers, he has always been encouraged to “put to manuscript” what music God has inspired through him

David strives to let God shine from his heart – through his playing – and always prays that God will hide him behind His cross – so that others will see Jesus.  He still states to this day; “If I play the piano before thousands, and ONLY reach and minister to one person, then for me, it is worth is all.”
