Youth Ministries (Christian Youth Fellowship)
FCC has a great youth program on Sunday evenings for children 4 years- 12 grades. Our youth groups are:
The Bible Buddies- ages 4-5 year olds
The Kool Kids- Grades 1-5
Chi Rho- Grades 6-8
CYF- Grades- 9-12
Our youth groups begin the Sunday after Labor Day and go through the Sunday before Mother’s Day.
We meet on Sunday afternoons at 5:30-7:00. We offer a snack supper at 6:45 for $2.00.
Our youth groups have a balanced program in the areas of worship, study, service to our community, service to our church and recreation. The older youth plan all their activities for the year at a planning retreat held in the fall. The groups are lead by active and dedicated members of our congregation.
In addition the Chi Rho and CYF youth plan and lead our congregation in a worship service for youth Sunday each spring. We also recognized our graduating seniors with a “This Is Your Life” program and luncheon where they are lovingly roasted and a video is shown in their honor.
Our CYF (Christian Youth Fellowship) youth also go on yearly Mission trips in which they earn the money and plan. In the past five years they have taken mission trips to the inner city of Lexington, Ky., Sitka, Alaska, Charleston, South Carolina, and Germantown, Pennsylvania.
If you are looking for a youth group for your child or yourself, this is the place to be. We are not too big and we are not too small, we are just right- hopefully for you.
