CROP Walk

The 5th Annual Birmingham CROP Hunger Walk is this Sunday (April 18)!  We're looking forward to seeing everyone at Caldwell Park. (New location this year next to the Virginia Sanford Theatre; 1116 26th. St. So.)

Registration at 1:45 PM, Walk Starts at 2:30 PM.

If you've already signed up (by website or by receiving a donation envelope), please continue to collect donations.  We're hoping to raise $20,000 or more this year.  If you haven't signed up yet, feel free to drop by on Sunday and bring friends!  There's no fee to participate, but donations are always welcome.

Thank you for helping hungry and struggling families in Birmingham and around the world.

RECONNECT WITH HARGIS

RECONNECT WITH HARGIS! Did you know that our very own Edd Spencer is the Chairman of the Board for Hargis Retreat YMCA, and that several members of FCC are also on that Board? And there is a way for you to be involved with Hargis as well! The Hargis Board is sponsoring a work day on Saturday, April 18, beginning at 8:00 (7:30 if you want breakfast!). The main project is to make a trail from Bernard House down to the main camp to keep campers off the main road. There will be other projects as well. Please consider sharing your time and talents with this beautiful place, helping to make it safer before summer season begins. Hargis is providing lunch for all volunteers, so please call 678-6512, or you can e-mail me directly and I will turn in your name.
