TAN MUSICAL, ART SHOW

TAN MUSICAL, ART SHOW AND SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR We invite you to visit the Art Gallery on Thursday, April 30th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Our children have been busy throughout the year working on special art projects. Our 3’s and 4’s will entertain us in the sanctuary with special music they have learned this year with Ms. Cathy and Ms. Corrie. We will also be hosting a book fair. This is a wonderful way to purchase books at a discount price and earn points for TAN.

RECONNECT WITH HARGIS

RECONNECT WITH HARGIS! Did you know that our very own Edd Spencer is the Chairman of the Board for Hargis Retreat YMCA, and that several members of FCC are also on that Board? And there is a way for you to be involved with Hargis as well! The Hargis Board is sponsoring a work day on Saturday, April 18, beginning at 8:00 (7:30 if you want breakfast!). The main project is to make a trail from Bernard House down to the main camp to keep campers off the main road. There will be other projects as well. Please consider sharing your time and talents with this beautiful place, helping to make it safer before summer season begins. Hargis is providing lunch for all volunteers, so please call 678-6512, or you can e-mail me directly and I will turn in your name. EasterSunrise Service

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE & BREAKFAST Our Easter Sunrise Worship and Breakfast is Easter Sunday, at 6:30 am at the outdoor amphitheater at Hargis Retreat. Following the service, breakfast will be served in the Hargis dining room at a cost of $5.75 for adults and children 6 and over; $3.75 for ages 3-5; and children 2 years and under are free. Jan will be sharing the meditation at the service. Also during the service we will continue our Easter Sunrise tradition of throwing a rock into the lake. The purpose for this is to remember once again, as the rock causes ripples across the lake, so our lives in Christ send out ripples of His love to all the world. Following the service, we will gather around the table for a fantastic breakfast with great food and fellowship as we celebrate the risen Lord. Please sign up for reservations in the narthex or call the church office.

Maundy Thursday Worship

MAUNDY THURSDAY WORSHIP Thursday, April 9, 7:00 pm We will all gather around the table of our Lord this Thursday at 7:00 pm for Holy Communion. Thirteen of our men will recreate Leonardo DaVinci’s painting of the Last Supper through a living tableau.
