Welcome to First Christian Church
Birmingham, Alabama

There are currently 5 up-coming events planned

Date: Sunday, July 13, 2008
Time: 9:00:00 AM
Event: Children’s Worship and Wonder
Description:

Even though we live in a computerized, high tech age full of gadgets and gismos, all of those can still not compare to a good story, especially the stories and parables of Jesus. On Sunday morning, July 13, Mary Pat will demonstrate one of those special parables of Jesus during the children’s moment. Parents/grandparents will be invited to come forward with their child and sit on a mat, holding your child in your lap in silence and reverence, as Mary Pat shares the story. The parable is one of many in the program and curriculum titled, “Children’s Worship and Wonder”. It is an outstanding program for children that encourages and enables them to worship on their own level by first hearing the stories of Jesus and then “wondering” more about them using their own creativity. The Christian Education Mission will be presenting several opportunities for you to learn more about this program and how you can participate in this special ministry.
